What is a Helix Piercing?
The Helix Piercing is an upper ear cartilage piercing suitable for our Helix style earring collection and one of the more common cartilage piercings. There are multiple variations of the helix piercing, the forward helix, double helix, triple helix, and anti-helix, all placed slightly differently on the upper ear.
Helix piercings generally take around three-to-six months to heal, and are the perfect addition for creating your own individual ear stack.
How to Style Your Helix Piercing
The helix can be pierced with a labret or hoop, once it has healed you can go from a subtle stud to a statement textured hoop to switch up your style. Often styled with a stud or hoop earring, a Helix piercing provides a greater variety of ear jewellery options. A hoop or stud earring with a flat back may be more comfortable if the earring is going to be permanently in place, particularly for sleeping.
Always check the sizing of your piercing and diameter of the jewellery. Always use a professional piercing technician and seek advice to find out if a helix piercing is suitable for you.
