Anklets have become a favourite summer accessory, particularly popular in the Boho and Surf aesthetics for both men and women. Whether you chose a singular anklet or stack them for more impact, they can be the piece de resistance for any outfit.
But is there a right or wrong way to wear them?

So which Ankle should you wear them on?

There is a long history of accessorising with a stunning anklet going all the way back to the Ancient Egyptians. With this in mind, it is unsurprising that there has been a multitude of meanings, ways of wearing and materials associated with anklets over the years. For instance, in Asian culture, an anklet could traditionally be worn on the left ankle to indicate that the wearer is married.

In western culture, however, there is no meaning or significance to which ankle you choose to wear your anklet or anklets on. Some people may feel they want to take into consideration where they wear their other jewellery and balance the distribution.

Over all we say pick which feels comfortable to you. Or why not make a statement with a layered boho anklet look on both ankles!
